DisplayNote Appoints First VP of Sales for USA

phpudPHoIAMDisplayNote Technologies Ltd, the collaboration and content sharing software for tablets, displays and desktops, has appointed Andy Penman as it’s VP of Sales for the USA.

Andy joins DisplayNote with 10 years’ experience in the technology industry, specifically education technology such as interactive classroom displays and classroom response technology. He is also a fully qualified teacher and taught in the UK for a number of years before moving to Australia.

The DisplayNote software and app solution allows any presenter to share their content from desktop or display with their audience on connected iPads, Android tablets, Smartphones and Mac or PC desktop. The presenter can collaborate with multiple members of a group, share the audience’s screen with the rest of the room and use DisplayNote as a document camera and voting system.

DisplayNote has partnerships with display manufacturers such as Sahara PLC, NEC and BenQ who bundle the presenter version of the software. The NEC partnership has just been rolled out in the USA and this, coupled with the rise in iPad, BYOD and 1-1 tablet initiatives in USA schools and organisations, has led to increased demand for collaborative software.

Paul Brown, CEO says: “I am delighted to have Andy as part of the team and bring his experience and knowledge to the American market, which for us is growing at a rapid pace.”

Andy Penman says: “It is a very exciting opportunity to be working in this ever growing sector. The rise of tablet sales in the USA has led to an increased demand for a presentation and collaborative solution. DisplayNote fits the bill and I am looking forward to supporting the channel and end users in rolling it out.”
