DiGiCo V20 Software Adds Fourier Integration, New Tools for Quantum and SD Consoles
DiGiCo has released Version 2.0 of its mixing software, bringing native integration with Fourier Audio and several new features to its Quantum and SD-Range consoles.
Available in early April, the V20 update introduces direct control of Fourier Audio’s transform.engine from the console touchscreen. Users can view plugin chains, synchronize session files and snapshots, and operate parameters without draining console processing power.
The software also includes new cue list control options, allowing consoles to trigger session changes and snapshot actions on connected Fourier devices. According to DiGiCo, this ensures session data and plugin settings remain fully in sync during live productions.
“With our new V20 software, even SD7 and SD8 users who may have had their consoles for 15-plus years are still able to take advantage of new advancements that will keep their productions on the leading edge,” said DiGiCo Managing Director Austin Freshwater in a statement.
The update also adds support for Sound Devices transmitters. Macros can now be triggered directly from A20-Nexus and A20-SuperNexus units using the Astral External control device — providing simple routing functions like push-to-talk or vocal FX control during performances.
V20 introduces the Mustard Source Expander, a dynamics processor designed to reduce noise and feedback from open microphones. It operates similarly to a gate but is optimized for non-transient sources such as vocals or brass.
In addition, the update brings DiGiCo’s optional Theatre software suite to the Quantum225, expanding its channel count and modifying cue list behavior to better support cast and costume changes in live theater productions.
Other improvements include new EQ band selection behavior on the Quantum852, diagnostics enhancements, a confirmation prompt when clearing fader banks, and multiple bug fixes.
