Densitron Updates Software for IDS Platform
Densitron announced a new version of its software for the Intelligent Display System (IDS) platform. The new IDS Cloud software engine allows the same studio environment to be controlled and managed instantly and seamlessly, to or from anywhere.
Previously, the use of IDS had been restricted to on-premise installations, with interpremise or multipremise applications only made possible via VPN tunnels. But with the new IDS Cloud, the core IDS server can be deployed and managed from anywhere securely, including on private cloud environments or public clouds, such as AWS (Amazon Web Services). Densitron says there is no need to install software on each machine and users can access the platform from any device, as well as Densitron’s custom-built HMI touch screens, and it is now possible for system cores to be fully supported and upgraded remotely.
Densitron will continue to provide the option of a traditional license fee, customers will now have the opportunity to access a monthly “pay-as-you-go” subscription — allowing deployments to be scaled accordingly in response to changing needs.
