Dataton has a well-earned reputation for eye-catching content at its numerous trade show appearances around the world. This year’s InfoComm booth features a synchronized, projection-mapped WATCHOUT show on a landscape of sculpted mountains against a complex LED-panel backdrop. The fifty-five LED panels, six large venue projectors, and audio will all be running under the latest version of WATCHOUT, released to coincide with the InfoComm show. External control will be via the upcoming version of Dataton’s WATCHNET manager software. Dataton is proud to partner with projection manufacturer Epson and ROE Visual for the high-end display hardware on the booth.
“We want to give visitors an opportunity to really see how WATCHOUT makes advanced projection mapping easy,” says Trond Solvold, Sales Manager, Dataton. “The idea is also to illustrate how to work with various display techniques and still have the correctly scaled format over the total canvas. WATCHOUT is already the go-to solution for live events, staging and fixed installs with multi-displays, not least due to its reputation for reliability. At InfoComm we are showing its versatility and creative impact on the audience.”
Dataton’s WATCHOUT multi-display production and playback system has a solid 15-year track record for outstanding performance and reliability in all kinds of presentation applications. Version 6 added a strong feature-set for smoother workflow in complex projection mapping, multiple-source video playback, virtual displays for pixel mapping, previsualization, as well as a new-look user interface. Recent additions include significant improvements to workflow for producers, support of additional 3D file formats (BLEND, FBX), and enhanced performance in, for example, Virtual Displays and 3D object rendering.
