Crestron Joins Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform
Crestron has joined the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), an open platform built on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). MDEP allows device manufacturers and software developers to create solutions with built-in security, trust, and management features backed by Microsoft standards.
“By joining MDEP, we’re advancing our ability to deliver purpose-built solutions that combine Crestron’s expertise in workplace technology with Microsoft’s enterprise-grade security and management capabilities,” said Brad Hintze, Crestron’s executive vice president of global marketing. “This will allow us to develop more specialized, secure, and manageable devices tailored to modern workplaces while maintaining the seamless integration our customers expect. We look forward to launching our first MDEP-powered products soon.”
“We’re excited to welcome Crestron to the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform,” said Juha Kuosmanen, head of MDEP at Microsoft. “Crestron’s expertise in workplace technology and collaboration solutions strengthens our shared mission to enhance how people connect and work together.”
