Crestron Expands Home OS With New Configuration Platform, Remotes and Shading Options

Crestron Electronics announced enhancements to its Crestron Home OS platform, debuting a new configuration tool and expanding its control, shading and audio solutions.
At the center of the launch is Configure Pro, a configuration platform designed to streamline system setup. Configure Pro offers no-programming system creation, advanced conditional logic, keypad programming, and enhanced AV-over-IP configuration. Crestron says the tool reflects more than a decade of development and delivers greater speed and efficiency for integrators.

New hardware designed for Crestron Home OS includes:
- Cevo Mini Remote – A $700 handheld controller with a tactile button layout.
- Cameo Keypads, Dimmers and Switches – Unified aesthetics across wired and wireless options, customizable backlighting with more than 16 million colors, and up to 138 button configurations with field-replaceable buttons.
- Horizon Metal Finishes – Brushed brass, dark nickel, dark bronze, and brushed black options now available for Horizon keypads and dimmers.
- Expanded Shading Portfolio – New horizontal sheer fabric collections (Telluride, Vail, Keystone), a 3-inch vane size, designer no-weld hembar, updated sample book, and new hardware and power supply options for simpler installation.
Crestron also announced native integration with DoorBird IP video door intercoms, enabling live video, two-way audio and access control directly from Crestron touch screens or the DoorBird app. Options include keypads, RFID and fingerprint readers in multiple finishes.
Other updates include DM NVX Multiview, allowing users to watch and manage up to six sources simultaneously on one display with recallable preset layouts, and Apple Music integration for Crestron DM-NAX-8ZSA and DM-NAX-4ZSP devices via firmware update.
