Crestron CP4-R — A Glimpse of the Series-4 Control System

Crestron is shipping its new Series-4 processor in the form of the CP4-R, aimed at the residential control system market. Rebranding it as the Crestron Home OS, it’s four times the speed of the CP3-R, double the RAM and runs Crestron Pyng OS 2 today but, is built to support Crestron Home OS 3, arriving Spring 2019.

OS 3 (formerly Crestron Pyng OS 2) has a totally new user interface that includes: page designs; dynamic room controls and icons; and new features including support for multiple homes, favorites, custom access, room image customizations and more.

Quite honestly, not much is known about it yet, but here’s Crestron’s landing page where you can fill out a form and be notified when more info is available.
