Attendees at the show will be invited to sit back and enjoy a specially selected assortment of movie, television, and other media clips designed to demonstrate the best in audio-visual entertainment at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, CA from September 4-8, 2018.

Appointed as a worldwide distributor of Dolby Laboratories’ professional cinema products for use in the luxury home market, Cortex VIP Cinemas has harnessed Dolby’s technology and married it with propriety support equipment from Cortex, creating a system that has never before been available. Each Cortex VIP System is custom-designed, assembled, and tested before it is shipped. The Cortex system comes with a complete Dolby Atmos design, surge protection, UPS, Power Isolation, 4K HDMI Distribution, and up to 64 channels of Dolby Atmos immersive sound processing and amplification. To ensure the reliability of each custom design, Cortex employs remote monitoring of the electronics and backs up your purchase with a 5-year warranty. Upon completion of a given home’s cinema or media room, Cortex will perform an on-site calibration of the audio portion of the system to ensure the highest possible performance.

Cortex VIP Cinemas is partnering with PMC Speakers in sound room 7 at CEDIA EXPO 2018. They will be showcasing the same sound processing, amplification, and speakers that are implemented in Capitol Records, Studio C, located in Hollywood, CA. Studio C is often used to mix music scores for feature films such as “Across the Universe” (2007), “True Lies” (1994), and “The Revenant” (2015).

While Cortex and PMC will only be partnered together for a short time at CEDIA, they are clear that their working relationship will not end following the conference. “Our partnership with PMC goes beyond just CEDIA; we have several exciting co-developed projects in the works,” Steve Evanitsky said. “The performance of PMC in the studio and post-production world is very well known, and the combination of Cortex, Dolby, and PMC brings that performance and history into our home cinemas.”

True Hollywood Comes Home

Working directly with the Dolby professional cinema division, Cortex has designed a suite of electronics to complement Dolby’s equipment and brings a true no-limits cinema package to the CEDIA channel.
