Core Brands to Showcase Furman Power Management Products at Prolight + Sound

logo_CoreBrandsPETALUMA, Calif. — March 5, 2014 — Core Brands today announced that the company will showcase the latest innovations in its Furman® line of power management products at Prolight + Sound, March 12-15. Exhibiting with Trius Vertrieb GmbH & Co. in Hall 8, Stand C40, Furman will display its new F1500-UPS E, PS-8R E III and an array of the company’s 230V rackmountable Pro products.

As Furman’s first BlueBOLT®-compatible 220V-240V product, the F1500-UPS E uninterruptible power supply is specifically designed for A/V installations within EMEA countries. The battery backup and power conditioning device provides 1500VA of true sine wave battery backup to prevent data loss and allow the orderly shutdown of connected equipment in the event of a power outage. Featuring Furman’s advanced non-sacrificial SMP surge/spike protection circuit, Extreme Voltage Shutdown (EVS) and Linear Filtering Technology (LiFT), the F1500-UPS E provides professional-level protection, filtration and backup, combined with features engineered specifically for the needs of A/V systems. Rackmount ears are included. The unit may be controlled remotely via RS-232, or via TCP/IP with the addition of the BlueBOLT-CV1 network interface card (sold separately).

With the addition of the BlueBOLT-CV1 card, the unit may be addressed with serial commands via TCP/IP protocol or may utilize BlueBOLT — Panamax/Furman’s cloud-based power, network and energy management platform. With BlueBOLT, outlet banks may be turned on, off or rebooted in real time or on a schedule; energy consumption may be tracked; power and energy alerts can notify an installer or end user of a condition at the install site; devices on the network can be pinged and rebooted automatically; and much more.

The PS-8R E III power conditioner and sequencer provides power protection, filtering and sequencing for audio systems in 220V-240V regions. An update to the Series II model, the PS-8R E III features easier rear-panel access to sequencing settings as well as a shorter chassis depth for more flexible cord management. Like the F1500 UPS E, the PS-8R E III includes Furman’s signature SMP, EVS and LiFT technologies for optimal power conditioning and protection.

“We are very excited to bring these new products to market,” said John Benz, director of power and accessories for Core Brands. “The F1500-UPS E specifically addresses the needs of A/V systems in the EMEA region with power protection, battery backup and power conditioning, preventing the loss of valuable data as well as equipment damage. The device’s truly distinguishing feature is its BlueBOLT remote power, network and energy management functionality, which has proven in the U.S. to reduce system issues and service calls dramatically — by more than 30 percent for some system integrators.”

A complete array of Furman’s Pro products will also be on display, including the CN-3600 SE SmartSequencer™, P-1400 AR E and P-6900 AR E voltage regulator/power conditioners, P-2300 IT E symmetrically balanced power conditioner, PL-8C E power conditioner, PL-PLUS C E power conditioner with voltmeter, PL-PRO DMC E power conditioner with voltmeter/ammeter, M-10X E and M-10Lx E light module power conditioner, and AC-210 A E compact power conditioner.
