An interesting thing happened on the way to doing this interview. I have known Alison Maxson, Press and PR Specialist for Barco for quite some time and talked to her a little while back about my proposed Convergent Tech series. In trying to come up with the proper interview subject, topic of conversation and content for this important first interview blog of the series, she suggested a guy that works for Barco and is their authority on laser projection technology. Not just any guy — The Laser Guy, Bill Beck. Why do I call him The Laser Guy? Not only because he is the guy who goes out to industry, cinema and more to speak on laser illuminated projection technology, this is his actual title with Barco.
