Comprehensive Connectivity Company Adds 8K Support to Specialist Series Cables
Comprehensive Connectivity Company has expanded its Specialist Series Cable line with the addition of Ultra High Speed 8K60 48G HDMI 2.1 cables, now available in lengths up to 10 feet.
Designed to meet the demands of AV and IT installations in higher education, K-12, small to midsize businesses and other commercial environments, the Specialist Series cables feature copper and aluminum shielding, a PVC jacket, strain relief, and a durable machined aluminum or ABS connector head. The new HDMI 2.1 cables support Ultra-High Speed 8K at 60Hz with 48Gbps bandwidth and are backwards compatible with HDMI 2.0, 1.4, 1.3 and 1.2 versions.
In addition to supporting resolutions up to 7680 × 4320 with 4:4:4 deep color sampling, the cables include features such as HDR10, Ethernet capabilities, and eARC support for Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio formats. They also support up to 32 audio channels, the 21:9 aspect ratio, and multi-stream audio for up to four streams.
Additional enhanced features include Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), and Quick Frame Transport (QFT), making them suitable for professional AV, IT, and gaming applications.
Specialist Series cables are RoHS certified, UL rated and up to twice as durable as standard cables, according to the company. Molded 24k gold-plated HDMI male connectors ensure reliable signal transmission.
Comprehensive says the cables are compatible with HDMI, DisplayPort and USB applications.
