COMM-TEC Day-2 Observations

commtecday2feat

Well, the best word to describe my first S14 Show is “WOW.”

I can see why ISE Managing Director, Mike Blackman, was there in attendance. This is one of the best regional shows I have ever attended. Nearly 50 exhibitors filled a giant tent (as well as the entire COMM-TEC office space) with mini-stands displaying the latest products. These we not just table-top displays. 9-monitor video walls, a home theater – actually, two full home theaters – audio demo suites, projection suites, a Barco ClickShare training room (I happened to teach my 4K class in there), digital signage systems, streaming video gear and every product category in the AV world was represented. COMM-TEC is lucky to have some of the best brands in the AV industry as product lines.

The day started with me delivering my Keynote Address to a room of over 290 attendees. My keynote focused on five key trends affecting the AV market. Then, the show floor opened and over 300 people attended the full-day event and they stayed late – well over 100 of them were still there at 17:00 hrs when the show was supposed to end. And, the classes were mostly full. My 16:00 hrs 4K class had over 25 attendees.

We hope this microsite for the COMM-TEC S14 captures why you should consider attending next year. And, for those of you who did go, we hope this site will allow you to see every new product launched at S14 as we literally attempted to shoot product videos at every single stand/booth. And, we took the liberty of shooting them all in English and again in Deutsche. All 90 or so videos can be seen here.

And, we also shot over 500 photos. They are all here.

Finally, all the day’s educational sessions and presentations can be found here.
