Clear-Com Intros FreeSpeak II, Features Other Wireless Intercom Systems at ISE 2015

clearcom-lq-0215At ISE 2015, Clear-Com will showcase its IP capabilities within the Eclipse HX matrix intercom systems, as well as its new line of IP interface devices, LQ Series, for linking intercom and audio over IP networks, and the FreeSpeak II wireless intercom system.

The LQ Series is a new family of Intercom Connectivity (ICON) devices to extend existing intercom systems to remote locations or link multiple intercom or audio devices together across long distances, over secure IP networks (LAN, WAN, Internet). LQ devices are available in a two-wire (LQ-2W2) or four-wire (LQ-4W2) options. The LQ-2W2 can connect party lines from any brand’s intercom box for an intercom circuit over IP.  It is similar to a mini partyline main station with IP connectivity. The LQ-4W2 connects and routes audio between analog ports of any matrix intercom system, analog telephone circuits, two-way radio gateways and audio consoles. A maximum of six LQ Series devices can be linked together in any two- or four-wire combination.

Clear-Com will also present the new IP capabilities offered by the software update in EHX v8.0 configuration software for the Eclipse HX digital matrix intercom systems. The update enables standard IP-connected V-Series panels to operate both as fully functional intercom key panels and as multi-channel audio gateways with no requirement for additional hardware or software licenses. This feature extends the Eclipse HX’s existing capability to provide remote matrix intercom connectivity over diverse IP infrastructure at no additional cost, making audio and intercom connectivity for applications such as OBs and live events more cost-effective.

Built-in multi-channel Audio and Ethernet/IP interface are supplied as standard on all V-Series panels. Each panel supports up to 3x audio channels, typically 1x Intercom with 2x Auxiliary audio channels per panel. All channels are G.722 encoded to provide 7 KHz audio bandwidth audio, and are fully integrated into the V-Series Audio mixer. All channels provide Clear-Com’s full range of intercom functions including VOX detection, VOX gating, I/O level adjustment, IFB  and Logic Control, while both auxiliary channels have associated GPIO’s for Partyline and two-way radio interfacing.

The new FreeSpeak II wireless intercom operates in multiple license-free DECT bands from 1.897-1.933GHz. The newly-designed, industrial-strength and robust digital wireless beltpack offers superior digital ‘Clear-Com Sound’ for clear intelligibility and ultimate audio comfort. The new Active Antenna delivers improved roaming capability for reliable wireless connections. Innovative intercom features make FreeSpeak II a high performance wireless option.  The system is ideal for deployment across large-scale, multi-zone production areas typically required in live events and broadcast production.
