Clare Controls Introduces Native Integration with Sonos

Clare-Controls-logoDallas, TX, October 15, 2015 — Clare Controls today announces its ClareHome automation solution now integrates natively with Sonos HiFi speakers and audio components, enabling simple, fast, robust, and feature-rich operation for integrators and consumers. Once enabled, the ClareHome system will automatically incorporate zones, playlists, tracks, and stations available within the Sonos system. Homeowners will appreciate how easy it is for them to add to their Sonos systems and see additional zones with complete control moments later in their ClareHome app.

“Sonos provides homeowners with the ability to add music to any room or add products to their system, anytime. Clare Controls also gives homeowners the flexibility to manage their home automation experience with DIY-like ease,” said Brett Price, Clare Controls CEO. “The marriage of these two companies demonstrates their continued commitment to empowering homeowners to take control of their home technology simply and seamlessly.”

Clare natively supports Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). Once the Sonos system is on the network, paired, and named, it will populate within the ClareHome app. No programming is required for the initial setup or when adding zones. A homeowner can simply connect a new Sonos device to the network and set it up through the Sonos configuration. The ClareHome system will autodiscover the new zones and allow the user to add them to their ClareHome app in seconds, auto-populating the user interface and metadata. Clare also supports Sonos zone grouping, so homeowners can continue to enjoy the same party and individual zone modes they’ve become accustomed to.

Clare Controls currently supports integration of Sonos services including Pandora, Sirius XM, Slacker, Spotify, and TuneIn, with additional services on the way.
