3f47ddba-9bc8-43e3-8220-78ef4858ef40Sarasota, FL, August 22, 2016 – To support its initiative to become the system of choice for home builders and to support its rapidly growing installed customer base, Clare Controls is announcing two strategic hires for its sales and marketing team. Kristopher Sherman joins as Director of Regional Sales for Texas and Jamie Teahan is the new Director of E-Commerce and Marketing.

“In recent months, Clare has partnered with a number of top residential builders including Meritage Homes, David Weekley Homes, Fulton Homes, Garrett-Walker Homes and AV Homes proving that our smart home solutions resonate with both builders and homeowners,” said Brett Price, CEO Clare Controls.  “As we continue to grow, it is crucial that we have the right people to share the Clare value proposition and support these customers. Kristopher and Jamie are industry veterans with proven success in their respective fields. They will play an important role in driving awareness, adoption, and engagement for Clare.”

Sherman brings over 20 years of experience in sales and management in consumer electronics and AV. He joins Clare from Vox Technologies where he oversaw global sales, marketing and operations as the Sales Director. He previously held positions at Control4, Tweeter, Magnolia AV, and Best Buy.

“Kristopher’s experience on both the technical and sales side of the AV business is beneficial to our customers as he understands the challenges they face specifying jobs, working in the field, and supporting the customers after the sale and installation. He will be a tremendous asset for our rapidly growing sales efforts in the Southwest region,” stated Price.

A digital media professional with nearly a decade of experience in interactive advertising and management, Teahan will be responsible for driving homeowner engagement in the soon-to-be launched MyClareHome customer portal, an online resource for Clare homeowners. Most recently, she has held account management and client services roles with Hone Inc. and Demand Media.

“The myClareHome portal will be the hub for Clare customers to go and obtain information about their systems, activate features and purchase additional devices. Jamie’s extensive knowledge of interactive technology and business development is well-suited to manage the site and support our growing business,” adds Price.
