Chyron Releases PAINT 9.9 With Enhanced Telestration and Sports Analysis Features
Chyron has released PAINT 9.9, the latest version of its telestration and sports analysis platform, introducing improved video quality, streamlined workflows and expanded functionality.
The update extends high dynamic range (HDR) capabilities beyond live video workflows to clip import and export, allowing for faster transfers and more efficient content management without disrupting production. Optimized HDR workflows improve tone mapping and color precision, simplifying HDR content creation. Chyron says these upgrades ensure true-to-life colors and broadcast-ready visuals for high-quality sports analysis.
Real-time tool updates allow operators to adjust graphics more seamlessly, reducing the need for manual corrections and improving workflow efficiency.
With expanded input options — up to six HD inputs or three 4K UHD inputs — PAINT 9.9 can accommodate a range of sports broadcasting and analysis needs. Users can integrate multi-layered graphics, such as logos, team colors and headshots, into broadcasts. The updated label tool provides greater flexibility, allowing each graphic element to be independently animated for a more professional appearance.
Chyron says PAINT remains a complete, standalone replay and telestration solution, reducing the need for third-party replay systems. In addition to supporting a wide range of sports, the latest version includes calibration specifically for snooker.
