Christie Will Debut Two 40K Lumen Projectors at InfoComm

Aimed at rental and stagers, the new Roadie 4K40-RGB laser version projector offers what Christie says is an exceptionally wide color gamut and true-to-life visuals. Similar to the Christie D4K40-RGB, the Roadie doesn’t need external chillers, remote laser racks or special pedestals because everything is incorporated into a single, all-in-one chassis. It has a strengthened frame for a life on the road. Rental stagers also will appreciate the Roadie’s omnidirectional capabilities as well as its compatibility with most Christie Boxer lenses.

Like the D4K40, the Roadie 4K40-RGB only requires single-phase 220-volt power and produces greater than 95 percent of the Rec. 2020 color space. Capable of delivering over 30,000 hours of operation to 80 percent brightness and 5000:1 contrast ratio, the Roadie 4K40-RGB has Christie’s patented sealed optical path, which for most installations, means over eight years of what Christie says is virtually maintenance-free operation. At 298 pounds (135 kilograms), it’s significantly lighter than its RGB pure laser competitors are.

The new Mirage 4K40-RGB pure laser projector has greater than 95 percent of the Rec. 2020 color space, ideal for immersive 3D visualizations. The all-in-one projector has built-in warping and blending, near field communication monitoring and an at-a-glance preview screen.

The Mirage is now shipping and the Roadie ships at the end of June 2019 — Christie is here.
