Christie & Partners Awarded Top Honors At Show

phpqAYgSbPMDSE/LAS VEGAS  – (March 12, 2015) –Christie® and its partners scored top honors in an array of DSE Apex Installation and Content Awards categories at the Annual DSE Awards on March 12 in Las Vegas. The awards recognize companies who “raise the bar for innovative digital display installations and creative content.” The impressive range of awards underscores the value of Christie’s integrated solutions in providing complete digital signage experiences for multiple markets.

Apex Installations Awards

Barneys New York won gold in the Retail category for its fully immersive visitor experience at its flagship store in Manhattan. Inspired by music icon and native New Yorker Shawn “JAY Z” Carter, visual artist Joanie Lemercier and Barneys’ creative director Dennis Freedman, “A New York Holiday” featured a series of unique, immersive window displays facing Madison Avenue and an interactive in-store gallery – all brought to life by the latest generation of Christie digital display technologies.

Morguard Real Estate Property Management won gold in Retail category for its custom 26 1/2-foot-high-by-21 1/2-foot-wide video wall. Located in a public space within the company’s Performance Court office complex in Ottawa, Canada, the towering interactivevideo wall consists of a display mix that includes 48 Christie MicroTiles, the Christie touch Interactive Kit, interactive gesture technology and LED displays. The content strategy, animations, interactive experiences and content management system weredeveloped by Christie THREE SIXTY (formerly Arsenal Media) in collaboration with Cineplex Digital Solutions, who nominated theMorguard installation. Toronto-based Dynamix provided the display equipment and integration services.

Verizon won bronze in the Retail category for its first Destination Store at the Mall of America. Containing over 7,000 square feet of technology, the vast space was brilliantly designed by Chute Gerdeman and integrated by McCann Systems. It showcases the national wireless titan’s latest products and solutions using an array of Christie technologies that include the award-winningChristie® MicroTiles®.  Verizon was nominated by X2O Media.

Foxwoods Resort Casino won bronze in the category of Hospitality: Professional & Personal Services, for its Christie VelvetLED installation. Located within the interior retail and dining section of the resort, the open-area installation consists of two LED displays, each made up of 17 columns. Each column is outfitted with Christie Velvet 3mm LED blades to guarantee vibrancy against the location’s abundance of ambient light.  The installation was nominated by McCann Systems.

Apex Content Awards

Christie THREE SIXTY (formerly Arsenal Media) won gold in the Event Venues category for content created for Segerstrom Center Projection Mapping Display. The content was developed as a promotional piece to demonstrate Christie’s ability to deliver a true 360-degree end-to-end solution. It was projected onto a striking 180-by 120-foot façade of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California, using seven Christie Roadie HD+35K Projectors and the Christie Vive Audio speakers system.

Christie won gold for content created for The Book of Transformations, International, Projection Mapping Inspirations featuring Christie Technology. Nominated by Arsenal Media (now Christie THREE SIXTY), the content highlights the powerful and inspiring projection mapping displays from around the world that use Christie technology.

 

Christie THREE SIXTY earned silver in the Education & Healthcare category for the Two-zone Lobby Display at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in New York City. The project includes a double-sided 10 by 1 video strip and an 84-inch LCD screen. More than 100 videos were produced, showcasing GIA’s unique history and informational content about the science of diamonds and gems.
