Christie Is All About Moving from Conception to Reality at InfoComm 2019

Christie’s 90-year history is marked by continuous technological innovation, from the advent of digital cinema projection and the original MicroTiles to the first high brightness, all-in-one RGB pure laser illuminated projector and the Spyder X80, a powerful image processor. Its latest hardware and software solutions will be on display at InfoComm 2019, June 12-14 in the Orlando Convention Center, where a collaborative customer approach is celebrated along with several product launches that will inspire new ideas and creativity.

Making InfoComm debuts will be the Christie D4K40-RGB all-in-one RGB pure laser projector, Christie Mirage SST with a remote fiber-coupled projection head for system design and installation flexibility, Christie MicroTiles LED, with a preview of 10-bit color depth from Pandoras Box, touch button automatic camera based alignment with Christie Mystique on HS series 1DLP Christie projectors, and a showcase of the simple yet powerful content management and image processing tools such as Terra input cards for 1DLP projectors and a direct SDVoE input via the E1100 controller on Christie MicroTiles LED.

“Christie continues to cement its status as the world leader in digital display and processing technology,” says Arlonna Seymour, senior marketing director, Christie. “With partnerships including World Expo 2020 in Dubai, Universal Parks & Resorts, and industry leaders like Almo and Dicction, we work closely with our partners and distributors to deliver experiences that audiences won’t soon forget.”

InfoComm and worldwide debuts of RGB projection
Visitors will see four new Roadie 4K40-RGB laser projectors lighting up the rear of the booth in their global debut. Akin to theChristie D4K40-RGB, the Roadie is a ruggedized, rigging ready all-in-one laser projector that operates on a single-phase 220V circuit. Built for life on the road, rental stagers will love its omnidirectional capabilities and compatibility with mostChristie Boxer lenses for cost savings when upgrading.

Also debuting is the Christie Mirage 4K40-RGB projector, which features patented TruLife electronics and Christie’s proprietary RGB pure laser illumination technology for completely immersive visualization and 3D experiences.
The Christie Mirage SST RGB laser projection system will also be shown at InfoComm for the first time. The Mirage SST, with its fiber-coupled, ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight projection head, offers unmatched installation flexibility. The remote light source and chiller allows the Mirage SST to be installed into environments where space or noise constraints have previously been a barrier. 4K resolution, TruLife electronics and RGB laser illumination combine to deliver incredible image fidelity, with true-to-life visuals approaching the full Rec.2020 color space.

Christie Mystique, an automated camera-based alignment and recalibration tool, is now available on its HS Series 1DLP projectors. Mystique and HS Series provide a robust, cost-effective tool to install and maintain multi-projector systems, ensuring perfect alignment for the life of the display.

Christie LED and LCD technology throughout the booth
A wave of Christie MicroTiles LED — that uses built-in sensors to monitor itself constantly to ensure the best image — will make its InfoComm debut. This award-winning technology uses a patented QuickMount system and cabinet-free Click-n-Go tiles so displays can be created in any shape and size. Patented Neighbor Detection and AutoMatch ensure image uniformity and the WebUI enables control of the display from any connected device. Christie MicroTiles LED are manufactured in North America and are now fully TAA compliant, which exempts them from tariffs coming into effect July 1 2019.

New LED and LCD solutions will be launching at the show and will be on display throughout the booth, including the debut of one of the first 65-inch tiled LCD panels on the market and the launch of the budget-friendly Christie Core Series and the next generation of Christie CorePlus LED.

Christie processing power on display
Christie Spyder X80, Pandoras Box and Terra are managing and controlling the content throughout the booth. Launching at Infocomm is Automated Content Generation (ACG), a feature of Pandoras Box that leverages advancements in artificial intelligence technologies. ACG makes content creation more affordable and accessible with no special artistic or production skills required. Add custom content to displays in lobbies and public spaces and projection mapping interstitials.
