Christie Introduces New Control Room Product Line
Christie introduced a whole new control room product line, the TotalVIEW system. The system includes the latest single-chip XGA and SXGA+ DLP rear projection display engine technology, custom configurable digital display wall controllers, rear projection displays ranging from 50” to 100” diagonal and the latest in Christie’s line of rear screen 3-chip DLP tiling projectors with native HD 1920×1080 resolution.
All digital projection products are built on Christie’s KoRE electronics platform which provide for extensive input capability and feature ChristieNET connectivity software for monitoring and control over IP.
Christie’s new TotalVIEW single chip XGA and SXGA+ rear projection display modules are the Christie RPMX-D120U (XGA) and RPMSP-D120U (SXGA+), designed with a dual UHP lamp switcher system for redundancy and long lamp life. They include automatic color calibration and brightness control, built in edge-blending, and factory-calibrated Comprehensive Color Adjustment (CCA) for fast and easy color set-up across tiled display walls. The RPMSP-D120U is specified at contrast ratio of up to 2300:1 and brightness up to 1000 ANSI lumens. The RPMX-D120U is 1300:1 contrast ratio and up to 870 ANSI lumens. They support sizes from 50” to 100” diagonal.
The TotalVIEW TVC series display wall controllers, the TVC-1100 and TVC-1200 models, are configured in Christie’s North American factory to meet customer specifications as well as input and output requirements. The TVC-1200 has advanced video processing architecture, providing the ability to display up to 16 simultaneous videos per display channel. At the core is Christie’s MASTERSuite 4.1 software, display wall management software available in eight languages.
The new Christie TotalVIEW DLV1920-DX rear screen projector is specified at native HD 1920×1080 resolution and uses 3-chip DLP technology. Christie says it provides a 41% increase in resolution over SXGA+ for tiling extremely detailed display scenarios. This is specified at 2800 ANSI lumens and up to 2000:1 contrast ratio, and Christie says the DLV1920-DX is well-suited for wide display wall applications such as broadcast control and military command centers.
The systems ship this month.
