Christie displays visualization and simulation solutions with true to life performance at I/ITSEC 2015

phpid160iAMI/ITSEC/ORLANDO, Fla. – (November 24, 2015) – Christie® will be displaying a range of industry-leading visualization and simulation solutions at I/ITSEC 2015, November 30-December 3, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Demonstrating two systems at its booth, Christie will feature a three-channel Christie Matrix StIM™ WQ™ projection system with Accuframe™ Pro and a compact spherical video trainer with a 2 by 2 array of Christie DWU555-GS laser phosphor projectors. Also on the booth will be the Christie QuadHD84 84-inch flat panel.

“With the widest range projection technology for 2D simulation and 3D stereoscopic immersive applications, Christie is the leader in solutions for high-performance simulation and training environments,” says Dave Muscat, senior director, Americas, technical sales and solutions, Christie. “Christie is pleased to bring our latest solutions to I/ITSEC, including AccuFrame Pro, that are purpose built for simulation and visualization.”

Clear images with AccuFrame Pro and 120Hz with Christie Matrix StIM WQ
Officially launching at I/ITSEC is AccuFrame Pro, a unique software solution for use with Christie’s Matrix StIM and SIM projectors that reduces visual artifacts that contribute to “negative training.” AccuFrame Pro targets low-to-mid intensity content at the pixel level and adjusts draw time, thereby reducing the smear on those pixels without compromising brightness, color output or system latency.

I/ITSEC attendees will see a three-channel front projected display showing an air model simulation powered by FlightSafety’s VITAL 1100 image generator. The air model will be displayed at 120Hz – for the clearest images without image artifacts or perceived loss of brightness – using the Christie Matrix StIM WQ scalable projection system with AccuFrame Pro software.

The 800 lumen Matrix StIM WQ system offers dual-input architecture to deliver 120Hz RGB operation as well as displaying separate RGB and Infrared (IR) channels to produce stimulated night vision goggle (NVG) images using Christie InfraScene™.

A compact laser phosphor simulation solution
Christie’s spherical video trainer will be in action using a 2 by 2 array of laser phosphor 1DLP® DWU555-GS projectors featuring 5400 lumens and 20,000 hours of low cost operation in a small package.

This compact trainer features several simulation integration technologies, including 360-degree visuals, six channel sound, and auto-alignment using Christie AutoCal™, and Christie Twist™ LT for image warping and blending to create a seamless image on a curved immersive screen. Powered by WorldViz Vizard5software, the spherical video trainer features real-world images and video by helicopter, hot air balloon and navy ship courtesy of AirPano, Kolor and Empire Media Group.

Christie technology around the show floor
Two Christie Roadster HD14K-M 3DLP® projectors will power the SIMTV lobby display at I/ITSEC 2015 while the Da-Lite booth (No. 755) will use a Christie DWU555-GS laser phosphor projector in a mirror enclosure. A three-channel Christie Matrix StIM WQ projection system will be at the Displays & Optical Technologies Inc. booth (No. 1926) while the Flight Safety International booth (No. 1401) displays a four channel Matrix StIM WQ collimated display at 120Hz. Finally, at booth No. 1080, the Brazilian Defense and Security Industries Association will demonstrate the benefits of the 84-inch Christie FHQ841-TUHD multi-touch flat panel.
