Celestion announced the availability of the TSQ2460, a 24-inch neodymium low-frequency driver that now leads the company’s Ten Squared Series for high-output sound reinforcement. The model is built on a development program focused on improving both peak and long-term performance across large-format PA loudspeakers.

Designed for use in high-output subwoofers or as a bass element in large-format line arrays and multi-way systems, the TSQ2460 delivers a 4800-watt continuous power rating and 98 dB sensitivity. Its performance is driven by a 6-inch round copper voice coil, an aluminum chassis and an advanced cooling architecture.

A key objective of the Ten Squared design initiative was long-term performance stability. Celestion focused on reducing voice coil temperatures to improve power handling and extend operational life. The TSQ2460 incorporates the company’s Precision Tuned Venting system, a three-channel approach that maintains consistent airflow across the frequency band. According to Celestion, the system can lower operating temperatures by as much as 80 degrees Celsius compared with drivers of a similar class.

Additional thermal control is achieved through a proprietary in-house coil design featuring hybrid multilayer inside/outside winding and custom adhesives that maximize airflow and reduce power compression. Mechanical performance is supported by a reconfigured magnet assembly that allows for greater cone excursion and a high Xprotection limit. A Polysiloxane Laminated Dual/Triple Suspension system is engineered to maintain stiffness under heavy use, supporting symmetrical cone movement and low distortion at high excursion.

Durability features include woven lead-out wires protected from motion fatigue and a double-sided water-resistant cone coating that provides environmental protection. The TSQ2460 is manufactured on Celestion’s automated production line in the United Kingdom, shared with the companion 21-inch TSQ2145 and 18-inch TSQ1845 models.
