CEDIA’s Education is Now Available Online!
CEDIA has launched CEDIA Online Learning, a new learning management system (LMS) designed to educate professionals across the smart home technology industry. The platform offers features to engage learners, streamline management, and provide actionable insights to enhance CEDIA’s educational content.
“Education is a core pillar of CEDIA’s mission, and the launch of CEDIA Online Learning represents a significant investment in the future of our industry,” said Daryl Friedman, CEDIA global president and CEO. “This online platform empowers members with the knowledge and skills they need to adapt, innovate, and lead in the ever-changing smart home landscape.”
CEDIA Online Learning includes a comprehensive library of courses covering a variety of topics for learners of all experience levels. The platform integrates years of educational research with new features, such as:
- Intuitive User Experience: The platform’s user-friendly interface includes gamification elements like digital badges, leaderboards, and rewards. These features help users stay motivated while showcasing certifications and credentials.
- Streamlined Learning Management: Members can manage employee training by purchasing, assigning, and tracking progress directly within the platform, simplifying administrative tasks and ensuring efficient learning.
- Data-Driven Insights: Real-time tracking and data analysis allow members to identify areas for improvement and increase course completion rates. Annual reports will use these insights to align future educational content with industry needs.
- Flexible Learning Options: The platform offers various delivery modes, including online courses, instructor-led sessions, and on-the-job training, making education accessible and adaptable to different learning styles.
- Access to Expertise: Learners can ask questions to subject matter experts (SMEs) and instructors or explore the Knowledge Base for additional support.
CEDIA is also expanding its educational offerings. The Residential Networking Specialist (RNS) certification is now available following a review by CEDIA volunteer experts. Additionally, popular business courses will be added by the end of the year, along with new content on leveraging CEDIA membership for business growth.
“With new features tailored to our members’ needs, CEDIA Online Learning provides valuable opportunities for professional development,” said Paul Dolenc, CEDIA vice president of education and training. “The platform delivers education that is flexible, accessible, and aligned with the real-world demands of smart home professionals.”
