Canon Intros Entry-Level Priced Projectors
Canon’s four new LCD projectors are divided into Advanced (“A”) and Mid-Range Priced (“M”) models. The line includes
- LV-8227A — specified at 2500 ANSI lumens with a 3000:1 contrast ratio and using a WXGA (1280×720) 3LCD engine; inputs include HDMI and VGA
- LV-7392A — an XGA (1024×768) resolution version of the above projector
- LV-7297M — a 2600 ANSI lumen XGA projector
- LV-7292M — a 2200 ANSI lumen XGA projector
All four projectors include a 1.2:1 zoom lens, HDMI 1.3 compatibility, projection on both blackboard and greenboard surface modes (changing the colorimetry of the image to adjust for that) and a 6000-hour lamp. But the most impressive thing about these is, quite honestly, the price — the LV-8227A, LV-7392A, LV-7297M and LV-7292M list for $799, $799, $699 and $599, respectively.
