For the second year in a row, rAVe’s founder, Gary Kayye, has been asked to deliver the event’s Welcome Address. His topic will be all about the newly integrated Reese News Lab Collaborative Classroom of the Future just integrated at the University of North Carolina’s School of Media and Journalism. The classroom includes facial recognition for attendance, live-streaming, auto-recording and archiving using Extron’s Entwine system, collaborative learning elements such as Zoom, Nureva and Extron ShareLink as well as a 4K digital canvas for content delivery. Kayye’s welcome address in 2017 was all about the concept of the digital canvas in the classroom so for the 2018 event, he’ll actually show it and chronicle how it was integrated.
UBTech has been produced by Professional Media Group’s University Business magazine since 2004, steadily growing to a leading position as an educational and community-building event for higher education technology leadership. Through conference sessions and access to solution providers who understand and regularly work in the higher education space, UBTech equips college and university leaders with the latest thinking and best practices to unlock the potential of new and evolving technologies to contribute to student and institutional success.
“Campus Technology Conference, now in its 25th year, is taking an important step into the future by merging with UBTech,” said Ken Kahn, CEO of LRP Publications. “We’re pleased to partner with UBTech to best meet the needs of the higher education technology community.”
“We’re happy to welcome the Campus Technology Conference community to UBTech,” said Dan Kinnaman, president of Professional Media Group. “This merger creates an unprecedented opportunity for higher education leaders to gain valuable insights about the application of AV and IT technologies on their campuses.”
UBTech also offers attendees the benefit of free admission to the trade show floor at InfoComm, the largest professional AV trade show in the United States, which takes place annually during the same week and in the same location as UBTech. A strong culture of collaboration and networking provides UBTech attendees with access to an engaged and helpful community of peers to draw on even after the conference is over.
