BrightSign Releases Series 6 Digital Signage Players; Adds AI
BrightSign has announced a set of new toolkits designed to help partners and end users incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into digital signage workflows. According to the company, the goal is to enhance interactivity, personalization and operational efficiency across a variety of signage applications.
The new tools are supported by an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU), enabling BrightSign players to run AI applications locally without compromising performance. Users can combine AI-generated insights with video or graphics to deliver more dynamic and targeted content. The company says its AI-ready players and software toolkits are designed to help create on-device, personalized experiences at the edge.
In addition to the AI platform, BrightSign introduced three new Series 6 digital signage products: the XD6 and HD6 digital media players and the XS6 system-on-a-chip (SoC) solution.
The updated Series 6 lineup offers performance improvements over earlier versions, including support for 4K 60Hz video and 10-bit HDR visuals. The BrightSign XS6 is designed for integration into BrightSign Built-In partner displays and runs BrightSignOS as a native platform.
The HD6 delivers high-definition graphics, while the XD6 supports 4K output with enhanced capabilities for HTML-based presentations. The XD6 also includes Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) support for greater installation flexibility.
