BlueJeans is differentiating itself outside of typical UCC and AV services with a service like no other health-enabled product ever has. Dubbed BlueJeans Telehealth, it’s a new HIPAA-ready virtual care solution that uses BlueJeans as a virtual health service on a mobile app with live interaction with health professionals.
With the new Apple Health app integration and Televisit Tile, patients can now share certain health data with practitioners and healthcare providers during their BlueJeans Telehealth visit. Patients can securely share specific categories of health data such as heart rate, sleep, falls and more with their provider during telehealth appointments. The BlueJeans Telehealth integration with the Apple Health app enables more informed conversations while providing patients control over which data they choose to share.
The new Televisit Tile compiles and displays encounter-specific information collected during the visit to show symptom data entered by the patient. It also supports information and document sharing to ensures communication exchange with healthcare providers. The new tile features a patient selector that ensures user data will only be viewable and remain secure between the patient and their healthcare provider.
For those joining from an iPhone, integration with the Apple Health app allows patients to share certain categories of their personal health data directly into the BlueJeans Telehealth app. Health app users remain in control of which categories of Health app data they choose to share with their provider during each telehealth appointment, and shared data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Using the BlueJeans iOS app, users will be able to select Apple Health app data from within the previsit patient landing experience or through the Televisit Tile during the visit. Once synced, the healthcare provider will be able to see and interact with the Apple Health app data. The healthcare provider can expand data to better observe trend lines and also screen share data for use during the Televisit. In addition, BlueJeans Telehealth works across mobile and desktop devices and includes single-touch, download-free access to mitigate potential technology challenges.
