Bluebell Strengthens Organizational Structure and Enhances Agility With Four Key Leadership Appointments

Bluebell Anil Parmar

BERKSHIRE, U.K. — Sept. 20, 2021 — Bluebell Opticom Ltd., the Emmy Award-winning provider of innovative fibre-optic solutions for fixed and remote applications, is undertaking a series of new appointments that will enable even greater agility and responsiveness to both customer and market demands. Effective Oct. 1, Samir Mansuri will serve as technical director, Anil Parmar as sales and marketing director, Peter Murray as manufacturing and production director, and Paul Gibbins as non-executive director.

“Providing critical fibre solutions for video, audio, and data delivery for 25 years now, Bluebell has grown into a trusted supplier with footprints in 27 countries, a global reach, and more than 300,000 live links worldwide,” said Paul Felix McCann, managing director, Bluebell Opticom. “To foster continued innovation and growth, we’re putting fantastic talent in key leadership positions. Samir, Anil, Pete, and Paul — they all excel in their respective roles, and together they bring Bluebell the knowledge, creativity, and experience to optimize our operations and enhance our ability to address evolving market requirements with smart, fresh fibre solutions.”

Mansuri, who most recently served as principal electronics design engineer for Camera Corps, is a brilliant designer with two decades of industry experience. He has held similar roles with industry leaders including SIS LIVE, Pro-Bel, and DTL Broadcast, designing creative solutions for high-profile live events and other broadcast applications.

Parmar steps into his new role at Bluebell having served as the company’s international sales manager and marketing manager for the past two years. He earlier held management-level positions at Providius, Digital Rapids, and JVC Professional and played a key role in helping Evertz to gain its footing in the UK market. Parmar began his career at Snell & Wilcox in the mid-’90s and has since built a tremendous reputation for driving sales growth.

Murray’s logical and methodical approach to manufacturing processes and his nearly 35 years of experience in the broadcast industry make him an ideal director of manufacturing and production at Bluebell. Prior to joining Bluebell, he served as test manager at Vistek and as production and test manager at Tekniche/Leitch.

As non-executive director, Gibbins will support strategic and financial planning, improve internal processes, coordinate data collection and reporting across Bluebell, and leverage that intelligence to drive greater growth and profitability. While he began his career working in financial services, Gibbins has since established a reputation for helping small and mid-sized businesses such as Bluebell to transform the business side of their operations.

“With Samir, Anil, Pete, and Paul taking on these new leadership roles within Bluebell, we’re already seeing a whole new energy and dynamic in bringing new products to market,” added McCann. “We’re better positioned now than ever to design, manufacture, and deliver the products our customers need in a quickly evolving industry.”

McCann, who has successfully grown Bluebell since its founding, remains in his role as managing director. The appointment of this new leadership team will allow McCann to focus more of his time on strategic leadership and the continued growth of the business.
