Blaze Audio Intros Constant Directivity Device Series Loudspeakers
Blaze Audio just introduced the Constant Directivity Device (CDD) Series loudspeakers. With a compact form factor designed to minimize line-of-sight considerations, the CDD Series is comprised of three models: the CDD528-BA Bi-Amped, the CDD528-P self-powered model, and the CDD523.
With wide 180-degree symmetrical horizontal pattern control, the CDD528 loudspeakers offers patent-pending mid-high frequency gain shading that provides a 45-degree vertical pattern from 420Hz to 18kHz. The loudspeakers incorporate four 5-inch low-frequency drivers with tightly designed acoustic centers that minimize comb-filtering, with a frequency response down to 54Hz.
Featuring a bi-amped design for system integration with Blaze amplifiers, the CDD528-BA is aimed at permanent installations such as performing arts venues, commercial theaters and houses of worship. With a “compact form factor that minimizes both transportation and line-of-sight considerations, the CDD528-P also makes an outstanding choice for use as a portable PA solution.”
The Blaze Audio CDD523 incorporates three vertically mounted 2-inch mid-high frequency drivers and two 5-inch low-frequency drivers, with tightly designed acoustic centers that minimize comb-filtering with a frequency response down to 65Hz. The CDD523 provides a smooth and controlled 15-degree vertical pattern from 520Hz to 18kHz and includes wide 160-degree symmetrical horizontal pattern control. With its compact form factor that minimizes both transportation and line-of-sight considerations, the CDD523 is ideally suited for front fill or under balcony applications or as a compact loudspeaker system.
