Biamp Systems will feature Tesira® 2.0, the latest version of the company’s flagship family of digital signal processor (DSP)-based products. The centerpiece of Tesira 2.0 is TesiraFORTÉ, an all-new series of digital audio processors that extend Audio Video Bridging (AVB) to application-specific settings. Now shipping, TesiraFORTÉ consists of eight models (four AVB models and four non-AVB models) with fixed input and output configurations, designed to bring greater simplicity and more options to conferencing, telephony, and VoIP environments. Also shipping is the new Biamp® Dante™-enabled DAN-1 digital server networking card, which, like its current SCM-1 card does with CobraNet®, functions as a gateway interface to support 64×64 channels of Dante networked audio. In addition, Tesira 2.0 includes new firmware and software that enable two Tesira SERVERs to act as a redundant pair — with the secondary Tesira SERVER providing a mirrored backup to prevent any interruption in service in case of failure in the primary SERVER.

Nexia®
Also at InfoComm 2014, Biamp Systems will showcase Nexia®, the company’s award-winning distance conferencing system, newly repositioned alongside the launch of the TesiraFORTÉ series of audio processors. Together, Nexia and TesiraFORTÉ provide a well-rounded and powerful DSP product offering designed to satisfy users’ routine audio requirements for professional AV solutions at an affordable price.

Vocia® 1.6
Vocia® 1.6 marks a significant addition to the Biamp® Vocia networked public address and voice evacuation system. The central aim of this release is to better integrate with Biamp’s Tesira® and Audia® platforms in order to provide seamless multi-functional solutions. With new capabilities for extending the platform to an even broader range of installations of various sizes, Vocia 1.6 provides three new hardware devices — the eight-channel Vocia Input (VI-8) device for analog and digital paging inputs, the VoIP-1 telephone-paging adaptor, and the POTS-1 analog telephone-paging adaptor. A large number of new features and enhancements in Vocia 1.6 software include impedance monitoring for the Vocia VA-8600 and VA-8600c amplifiers, support for unicast CobraNet® local inputs, and a dry contact control input mode for the Vocia Life Safety Interface (LSI-16e), VI-8, and Vocia General Purpose I/O (GPIO-1) devices.

Manufacturers’ Training Sessions at InfoComm 2014
Biamp Systems will highlight the Biamp® Education Experience, a robust program of education and training resources designed to provide customers with timely, targeted, and flexible learning options. This includes a new online certification program for Biamp’s all-new TesiraFORTÉ series of digital audio processors that extend Audio Video Bridging (AVB) to application-specific settings. In addition to the online certification training, Biamp offers in-person certification training with multi-day, hands-on courses covering the Tesira®, Vocia®, and Audia® products at various locations around the world.
