BenQ Introduces New Projectors to BlueCore Laser Golf Simulator for ‘SimTheater’ Experience

simulatorBenQ is bringing the golf driving range and home theater with a new family of BlueCore laser golf simulator projectors, inventing a new term in the process. The 4K LK953ST and WUXGA LU935ST projectors are for the new “SimTheater” applications.

The anchor of the dual-purpose golf simulation theater experience is the BenQ’s golf simulator laser projectors. BenQ built the 5500-lumen LU935ST specifically for the new generation of golfers who are doing more golfing off-course than on the actual fairways and greens. Both projectors utilize the same 92% Rec. 709 color space coverage and Texas Instruments’ DLP chip technology to deliver long-lasting color accuracy for golf simulators or movie-watching in up to 4K resolution for up to 20,000 hours of operation.

With 5,000 lumens or more, BenQ says its Blue Core laser golf simulator projectors ensure the high-speed cameras used in golf simulation launch monitors are not at odds with the necessary light needed in the room to photograph and analyze hits. The built-in, short-throw lens eliminates the need for expensive add-on lenses required by other projectors while allowing the projector to be mounted out of the swing zone and closer to the screen without casting a shadow. The projectors’ IP5X-rated sealed engine is fully protected in even the most dust-prone environments, such as garages and basements.
