Behringer Grows U-Phoria Interface Series

behringerumc4041/26/2014 Behringer is bridging the gap between artists and their fans by adding two new options to its well-received U-Phoria line of USB audio interfaces – the UMC404 and UMC1820. These blazingly fast USB 2.0 studios-in-a-box will have artists recording their next masterpiece in minutes with all the connectivity required for microphones, guitars, keyboards and even MIDI devices.

Users can now record the perfect vocal right to their computer-based DAW thanks to the UMC’s astonishingly clear, world-class Midas-designed mic preamps. Both dynamic and studio-grade condenser mics can be used, via onboard +48 Volt phantom power, with all going through Cirrus Logic 24-Bit/96 kHz converters for the best possible sound quality. The UMC1820 also provides I/O support for S/PDIF, ADAT and S/MUX formats.

“When a new song idea pops into your head, the UMC404 provides the perfect way to capture it on your Mac or PC computer – thanks to its plug and play ease-of-use,” said Product Manager Bert Niedermeyer. “It’s important to record those moments of inspiration quickly – and these handy interfaces are always ready whenever you need them.”

Designed with the home or studio recording enthusiast in mind, all UMC models are equally at home on the road. From their tough construction to the high-quality Midas preamps and expanded input counts, these, small, lightweight, portable interfaces are ideal for any recording application where highest quality sound is paramount.

The UMC404 and UMC1820 retail for $149.99 and $199.99 respectively — and are covered by Music Group’s 3-Year Limited Warranty Program. Purchase includes a free download of audio recording, editing and podcasting software, plus 150 instrument/effect plug-ins, available at behringer.com. By registering online, users receive a free download code for Tracktion 4 Music Production Software.
