Q: Why is Axis Communications exhibiting at InfoComm 2025, and what are you most excited to showcase this year?

A: Axis Communications has been an InfoComm exhibitor for the past several years. We are excited to showcase our new AXIS C17 Network Display Speaker Series and AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker as well as our complete portfolio of IP audio devices.  We enjoy seeing system integrators and end customers and their reactions to our new products. It is always great to see friends and meet new ones.

Q: What trends do you expect to see dominating the show floor, and how is your company positioned to lead or respond to them? 

1. We are seeing a high level of interest in IP audio products being utilized as part of a security system. Axis IP audio offers many different use cases whether triggered by analytics for security applications or for public address and mass communications.
2. Increased demand for cloud-based solutions: Partners are seeking more flexible, scalable, and secure cloud offerings to meet customer needs.
3. Growing interest in AI-powered analytics: The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is becoming more prevalent, enabling more accurate and efficient video analysis.
4. Cybersecurity concerns are on the rise: As IoT devices proliferate, partners are prioritizing cybersecurity measures to protect customers’ networks and data.
5. Convergence of physical security and IT: The lines between physical security and IT are blurring, driving the need for integrated solutions that combine both disciplines.

These trends are shaping our product development, partner engagement, and support strategies to ensure we remain at the forefront of innovation in the industry.

Q: Which new products, solutions or updates are you featuring — and how do they address current needs in the AV industry?

1. The new AXIS C1710 and AXIS C1720 Network Display Speakers offer audio and text display messages with strobe light options perfect for public address and mass communications. The AXIS C17 Series is available in wall or corridor versions and not only audibly and visually notifies occupants of an announcement but also informs occupants of what to do via text and voice alerts. All features are programmable via AXIS Audio Manager configuration software and third-party mass notification platforms, dependent on specific events, as well as integrating with Axis security solutions. 
2. We are also introducing the new AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker for indoor or outdoor installations. AXIS D4200-VE sets itself apart from other strobes in that it offers 9 LED light colors and 22 programming options with two-way hands-free communication and 102dB audio output. All features are programmable via AXIS Audio Manager configuration software and mass notification platforms dependent on specific events as well as integrating with Axis security solutions.

Q: How is your company supporting integrators and end users in navigating today’s biggest AV challenges — not just at InfoComm, but year-round?

1. At Axis we have been supporting the systems integrator business for over 40 years. In addition to offering a US-based, award-winning, high level pre- and post-sale tech support, our products are solutions-based meaning whether cameras, access control, intercom, VMS, audio and more, they will all work together seamlessly offering a complete solution for the integrator and end user. All Axis products offer a 5-year warranty further giving the integrator and end user piece of mind that you can install Axis with confidence.
2. Analytics has been a big interest with integrators. At Axis many of our products come with pre-installed analytics. We have an Axis Communications Academy; this group develops and teaches in-person and online training for integrators and customers. Many of the online courses are free. At InfoComm this year, integrators can attend our Manufacturer’s Training Session on AXIS Object Analytics June 11th at 2:30PM. Attendees can register online to join the session.
3. Cybersecurity is a huge concern for end users as well as system integrators. As Axis is a leader in IP-based solutions, we offer a wide range of FIPS 140 certified cybersecurity features and tools to protect our network products and solutions, including:
   1. Secure by Default: Our devices come with secure default settings, such as unique passwords and disabled telnet access.
   2. Encryption: We use end-to-end encryption for secure data transmission.
   3. Regular Firmware Updates: We provide regular firmware updates to ensure our devices stay protected against known vulnerabilities.
   4. Hardening Guides: We offer guides to help customers harden their systems and reduce attack surfaces.
   5. Cybersecurity Services: Our experts can perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response.

These measures help prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our customers’ surveillance systems.
