InfoComm 2025 brings together some of the most forward-thinking companies in ProAV. In this sponsored series, Behind the Booth offers a closer look at the people and products driving that progress. Here, Taka Uchida from Panasonic Projector & Display Americas LLC (PPNDA) talks about what the team is focused on this year.

Q: Why is Panasonic exhibiting at InfoComm 2025, and what are you most excited to showcase this year?

A: InfoComm 2025 marks the official launch of Panasonic Projector & Display Americas LLC (PPNDA), so we’re excited to embrace our new name. Our mission remains clear: to simplify complex workflows, reduce repetitive tasks, and empower AV professionals to focus on storytelling, communication, and connecting people through shared experiences.

We’re also excited to showcase new projection and display solutions that underscore our continued commitment to quality and reliability. Now that we are smaller, more agile, and focused on visual solutions specifically, it will be much easier to pivot and adapt our offerings as industry needs demand. Our focus will now be on innovating the entire ecosystem that goes into creating an immersive customer experience. This means harnessing the power of strategic partnerships to transform the way we work and create. By expanding our ecosystem and combining cutting-edge software with advanced hardware solutions, we are committed to providing education, corporate, and live entertainment professionals with cutting-edge visual solutions.

Q: What trends do you expect to see dominating the show floor, and how is your company positioned to lead or respond to them?

A: AI- and cloud-based solutions will be top-of-mind this year as the industry looks to streamline workflows. Automation and seamless integration form the basis of this industry-wide shift. The PPNDA booth will highlight our growing ecosystem of solutions, such as our cloud-based device management capabilities, and industry partnerships committed to enhancing customer workflows.

We’re also proud to be a founding member of OpenAV Cloud, a new nonprofit organization established to accelerate the AV industry’s transition to the cloud through open standards, cross-platform collaboration, and customer-first innovation. In the evolving landscape of audiovisual technology, fostering collaboration and innovation is essential for driving progress. The launch of OpenAV Cloud represents a significant step towards creating an open, interoperable AV ecosystem. By embracing an ecosystem approach, we can unlock new possibilities that will empower creators and enhance user experiences.

The power of 4K, immersive visuals to create dynamic customer experiences will also be a timely topic at the show. 4K projection technology really makes a difference when creating high-quality, realistic immersive experiences. Our booth will showcase the impact of one of our 4K projectors, the PT-RQ7 Series. Our partner IGLOO will use the projector to wrap an entire room in exciting visuals. Attendees can feel as if they are sitting at the bottom of the ocean or taking in the view from the top of a mountain. The high-quality 4K visuals make the entire experience more realistic and immersive.

Q: Which new products, solutions or updates are you featuring — and how do they address current needs in the AV industry?

A: Given this will be our first InfoComm as Panasonic Projector & Display Americas, we’re excited to feature our expanded product lineup and workflow enhancements. We recognize that AV professionals face time and space restrictions amid increasingly complex workflows, so our latest offerings support flexible operation while delivering optimal performance and captivating visuals.

Specifically, our booth will feature a new 40,000lm 3-Chip DLP™ Projector to streamline on-site workflows for large-venue entertainment applications. Additionally, we’ll highlight the expansion of our product portfolio with an all-in-one DvLED solution for indoor applications, control rooms, classrooms, and showrooms. We’re also excited to introduce a fully integrated, mobile AV solution that combines projection, audio, and control into a single, self-contained unit. This way, higher ed, corporate, and entertainment environments can embrace more plug-and-play AV platforms without the need for permanent installation. Meanwhile our new industry partnerships will be represented at the booth, underscoring our commitment to expanding end-to-end workflow solutions and giving customers more efficient ways of working.

Q: How is your company supporting integrators and end users in navigating today’s biggest AV challenges — not just at InfoComm, but year-round?

A: As audience expectations rise, it becomes more challenging for integrators and other AV professionals to capture their attention. While it’s exciting to take traditional audience experiences to the next level, the more dynamic the activation, the more complex AV workflows become. PPNDA is committed to supporting AV professionals with high-quality ecosystems of solutions that support flexibility and ease of use without sacrificing quality. All year, we remain committed to advancing our solutions and building new strategic partnerships that transform the way AV professionals work and create.

Q: Why should InfoComm 2025 attendees make a point to stop by your booth?

A: Our booth will showcase a variety of new solutions and partnerships that epitomize the mission of our new company: to simplify complex workflows, reduce repetitive tasks, and empower AV professionals to focus on storytelling, communication, and connecting people through shared experiences. Above all, we’ll be showcasing real-world applications of our technology to inspire and captivate attendees from an immersive meeting room experience to museum applications to a live event simulation.

Q: Anything else you’d like to share ahead of the show?

A: The PPNDA team is looking forward to InfoComm this year not only for the chance to celebrate our new name but also for the opportunity to connect with industry peers. I always enjoy interacting with customers to discuss the challenges they are facing and explore how our solutions can help them achieve their goals. This always inspires future product innovations. With our new shift in focus, I’m also excited to connect with potential partners and explore ways we can enhance the value we bring to customers.
