Fred Bargetzi, longtime Crestron CTO who passed away in 2021 from ALS, had a profound impact on the AV industry and the many people who work in it. In honor of Fred’s legacy, The Bargetzi ALS Foundation was formed by friends and family of Fred to support families dealing with the many challenges and expenses of having a loved one with ALS.

The foundation will mark its first charitable event with a pre-InfoComm golf tournament on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Bali Hai Golf Club in Las Vegas. All proceeds will go toward the National Fred Bargetzi Caregiver Grant and directly to those families in need. Individual registration is $350, and there are several sponsorship opportunities for industry leaders and companies to honor Fred while supporting a great cause and having a great time with industry peers before the big show.

Now is your chance to become a part of the first annual event. Sponsorship opportunities are available to include Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze sponsors, hole sponsors and many more.

The Schedule:

  • 7-8 a.m.: Registration, breakfast and range
  • 8 a.m.: Shotgun start – scramble format
  • 12:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.: Lunch, cocktails, raffles, silent auction, awards

“In addition to his love for his family and friends, Fred really enjoyed going fast in cars, motorcycles and snow machines.  He also loved playing golf.  This fundraiser at the industry event he loved is a fitting tribute,” said Landon Lovett, Fred’s friend and founding member.

Scott Walker, president of Waveguide, added, “Fred has a profound impact on so many of us — lots of people have a great Fred story about how he changed their careers or their company’s trajectory. Let’s all get together in Las Vegas to share those stories while raising money for a great cause and having a lot of fun. Even if you’re not a golfer, you can come be part of the event in several meaningful ways.”

Beth Bargetzi concluded, “I look forward to seeing friends and reminiscing with everyone about the impact Fred had on them personally and professionally. I also know he would be honored to help other people who are facing the same challenges we did.”
