AVPro Edge has acquired Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI), expanding its portfolio to include control and automation systems. RTI is known for its remote controls, user interfaces, control processors, and AV signal routing tools used in residential and commercial environments.

AVPro Edge, which also owns AudioControl Pro, Bullet Train, ThenAudio and Murideo, said the move will support faster integration between its hardware and a broader range of automation platforms. AVPro plans to leverage RTI’s engineering team to accelerate driver development and compatibility across systems.

In turn, RTI is expected to benefit from AVPro’s manufacturing scale and product development resources, with the aim of speeding up product delivery and improving cost efficiency.

“AVPro acquiring RTI brings together two innovators in software-driven audio, video, and control integration,” said Jeff Murray, AVPro’s founder and CEO. “Combining AVPro’s robust product development and manufacturing capabilities with RTI’s advanced control technologies and engineering expertise positions us to accelerate innovation and expand our offerings.”

RTI CEO Joe Roberts added, “AVPro’s manufacturing scale and development resources will accelerate our product roadmap while ensuring the innovation and quality that RTI customers expect.”

AVPro said the acquisition supports its long-term goal of providing end-to-end solutions for integrators working across residential and commercial AV markets.
