Avocor’s Latest Launch Includes Stealing BenQ’s Thunder via Partnership with Google Workspace

Avocor global partnership with Google WorkspaceAvocor today announced a global partnership with Google Workspace and also launched two new all-in-one videoconferencing and digital whiteboarding devicesthe Google Meet Series One Desk 27 and Board 65. Both are touch-enabled video devices designed as part of the Google Meet Series One hardware portfolio (think Zoom Rooms and Microsoft Teams Rooms, but for Google Meet) for anyone who’s a Google Workspace user.

The Google Meet Series One Desk 27 by Avocor is an all-in-one touch screen. It is also a desk monitor, laptop docking station and digital whiteboard that integrates Google Workspace’s Jamboard app (not to be confused with the co-branded BenQ/Google Jamboard collaboration Display — this is actually a cloud-based whiteboarding application). This 27-inch display is aimed at the WFH market or as a shared tool in a shared office environment, privacy spaces and in-office phone booths. The Series One Desk 27 integrates a sound bar, mic array and audio with TrueVoice, Google Workspace’s multi-channel noise cancellation technology, which claims to eliminate distracting sounds and enhance the human voice. Desk 27 comes with an adjustable tabletop stand and can be wall-mounted.

Designed to do everything a laptop dock does, Desk 27 requires only power and Ethernet and features a USB-C port to connect and charge a laptop. Once connected to a laptop, users can access all their files and apps on Desk 27. While defaulted to be optimized for Google Meet, Desk 27 can also run video meeting apps such as Teams, Pexip and Zoom, because it also has a digital PTZ camera and soundbar. As it’s Google-enabled, one cool feature is that you can start a meeting by saying, “Hey Google, join the meeting,” and it will find the meeting on your calendar and join.

The Google Meet Series One Board 65 by Avocor is a 65-inch collaboration board that can be wall-mounted in small and medium collaboration spaces. It is also ADA-compliant. It can also be placed on an optional purpose-built stand for mobility as a shared resource or for setting up spontaneous meetings anywhere. With an interactive touch display, Board 65 connects both in-person and remote meeting attendees. Meeting participants can also quickly connect their laptops via USB-C for power, device control and content sharing.

Board 65 also includes the same TrueVoice audio experience as Desk 27. Other features include a digital PTZ camera, mic array and speakers, support for voice-activated controls with “Hey Google” and native integration with the Google Jamboard app.

The Series One Desk 27 and Board 65 by Avocor feature a new design, and both devices are tilt-optimized for a natural writing angle with anti-fingerprint glass. They offer a sensitive writing experience with the use of fingers, palms or the included passive stylus for whiteboarding.

Both Google Meet Series One Desk 27 from Avocor ($1,999) and Google Meet Series One Board 65 from Avocor ($6,999) are now available for customer pre-order. General availability is expected in late Q4 2021 for Desk 27 and Q1 2022 for Board 65.
