AVLinkPro Adds Interface Extension to Crestron HOME

AVLinkPro added an interface extension for Crestron HOME based on the REST API entitled SIPAHOY. SIPAHOY introduces intercom features like panel-to-panel talk as well as audio paging to panels or sound systems. The extension also enables touchless room monitoring, electronic door relay release and the ability to interface Crestron HOME with a landline telephone system.

The new SIPAHOY extension is designed to simplify the intercom features in Crestron HOME. Previously, these features were only possible when using a secondary Crestron processor and scripted Macro coding. The deployment of the new AVLinkPro extension is intended for lower-cost integration with greater features and more functions.

The AVLinkPro API was developed to allow third-party vendors to have access to a universal connector for the ability to query and control specific features and data used within the AVLinkPro SIP PBX for connectivity and intercom functions. The new API provides full control over intercom communication extension states, paging, audio playback and a full range of features that come built into the AVLinkPro systems.

The SIP PBX systems from AVLinkPro use the SIPAHOY extension driver to allow for whole-house communication.
