The AVIXA Women’s Council continues to grow, with 34 current worldwide groups and more being on-boarded in 2019. The local Toronto council was formed in May 2018 and is lead by Christina Cruzeiro of Stampede Presentation Products and Cristina Lucas of Genesis Integration. They run quarterly events for professionals in the AV / IT fields. Their group is focused on helping women within AV and IT but their meetings are open to supportive men and their meeting attendance is close to 50/50 gender wise.
They are kicking off the New Year in a big way, with their first event of 2019 being sponsored by Global Unified Solution Services a full systems local integration company who specialize in audio visual solutions, unified voice, data and video communications at Samsung Canada’s Head office in their experience center. The event will start with a tech tour and have lots of time for industry networking.

Throughout her more than 20-year career in the technology industry, Mary has created successful business divisions within the Canadian operations of some of the world’s most respected technology companies. At Samsung, she is responsible for all direct and indirect enterprise and public sector sales and marketing efforts for Samsung Solutions across mobile, display, print and memory product lines.
