The AVIXA Foundation has announced the 2025 recipients of the Brad Sousa Impact Fund, honoring three organizations at InfoComm 2025 in Orlando, Florida: Rosie Riveters, Tech25, and WorkSource Montgomery.

The fund, named in memory of the late Brad Sousa, former chief technology officer at Forté, provides financial support to organizations using audiovisual (AV) technology and digital transformation to drive community impact.

Rosie Riveters is a nonprofit focused on fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in girls through hands-on STEM education. The organization plans to use its grant to expand the distribution of its STEM kits, with the goal of increasing awareness of careers in AV.

“We are excited about Rosie Riveters’ program success using music to discover careers in pro AV,” said Sarah Joyce, AVIXA chief global officer and foundation executive director.

Tech25, a nonprofit addressing the demand for trained AV, broadcast and event technicians, has helped place 30 alumni in full-time industry roles. The group will use its grant to offer technical training, certification preparation and hands-on experience to youth and adults pursuing careers in AV.

“Tech25 transforms lives and creates career pathways for those who have historically been unaware of our dynamic industry,” Joyce said.

WorkSource Montgomery (WSM) will use its grant to launch an AV- and technology-focused cohort within its LYFE (Launch Your Future Employment) program. The initiative aims to provide young adults with career exploration opportunities, hands-on experience, internships and full-time employment pathways in AV and IT.

“WSM is a cornerstone in workforce development, and we are proud to offer a grant in Brad’s honor to help them build more direct talent pipelines into our industry,” Joyce said.
