Welcome to the next installment of the show known for tech, humor and bacon, and this one truly shines. On this episode we have three great women, each one notable in their realm of business and industry. We decided to forego the normal show format (this show has a format?) and spend most of it talking with them, gaining great insights and perspectives. In fact, there is some “breaking news” on this one as well so stick around, it gets greater as it goes – and you heard it here first!
Join Host Christa (@AVChrista) Bender and the Crew – Corey (@Cbmoss) Moss, Chuck (@madsoundguy) Espinoza, Hope (@BeerAndPie) Roth, Johnny (@JMOTA3) Mota, and Rich (@RichardPrevete) Prevete as they welcome:
Sam Horn (@SamHornIntrigue) with The Intrigue Agency and Author, Public Speaker
Carol Campbell (@CarolCampbellTI) with NAPCO and Founder of Women in CE
Erin Bolton (@erin_bolton) with MRM//McCann and Women of InfoComm Network (WIN) Council Chair
The only way to describe this episode is a “must listen” to hear Sam Horn who was the main speaker at the InfoComm WIN Breakfast, and all who attended witnessed something very special with her discussion at the event. Sam continues discussion on this show with further perspectives on business and technology as well as the industry itself. She also convinces us to take the stairs and not the elevator – listen in to find out why.
Carol Campbell tells us all about Women in CE, the organization she founded in 2009 and continues to grow in presence in the industry. She also gives us some lowdown on CEDIA and one of those “breaking news” moments in the show, as well as an ominous generational prediction (uh oh). We talk with Erin about WIN and the industry with some follow up discussion from InfoComm 2015 and she gives us some info on something upcoming in October as well. Yet she wouldn’t tell us about that first car she drove (real sporty we bet).
Yes, what would a show be without Chuck’s legendary Power Up and of course you get one here about “the process.” Johnny Stuffs Things on this episode and if you know anything about thing stuffing, you know Johnny always delivers. Johnny also gives us an “insider” heads up on his next AV Insider podcast (and his special guest) which you will absolutely want to catch. No matter how many w’s Rich enters in the Tier PM URL, he still comes up with those Hot Jobs – and you of course get them here. He has one job for Corey, will he take it?
Dedicated to our own women in tech Christa Bender, Hope Roth, Stacey Kringlen, our guests, and all of the great women in commercial and consumer technology – as well as the great support from the men in the industry.
