AV Power Up! – Episode 12: InfoComm 2015 Post-Op – Get A Review Here, Stat!

Power-Up-rAVe-Category21Wow! Welcome to the last show of AV Power Up season one where we devote this one to wrapping up InfoComm 2015 – follow along as host Christa (@AVChrista) Bender, Corey (@Cbmoss) Moss, Chuck (@madsoundguy) Espinoza, Hope (@BeerAndPie) Roth and Johnny (@JMOTA3) Mota talk with their three guests who attended the show:

• Penny Sitler (@DraperInc) of Draper Incorporated
• John Greene (@jgreenesix) of Advanced AV
• Megan Powers (@meganpowers) of EventCollab
Along with getting to know Megan (an InfoComm first-timer!) and EventCollab, we of course had some show floor talk, discussed the IoT keynote, Women of InfoComm Network (WIN) and some perspectives of women in the industry, the Innovations Showcase (where EventCollab was located with other dynamic solutions providers), drones (watch out Johnny!) and more. The Crew also tells about snafus involving homebound travel from the show and baggage claim madness at the convention center (can anyone identify with these??). And our show is not sponsored by a particular airline, nor will we ever want it to be. WiFi? Don’t get us started.
Johnny Stuffs Things AV MotaTron-style and Chuck Powers Up (props to Megan) the whole industry about meeting up at InfoComm with AV people you know from social media and making some lasting relationships. He also makes a big announcement on this one (don’t miss it). No Hot Jobs on this episode – oh wait – yes there are, provided by two members of the Crew! Also something about job offers and shoes, you can’t make this stuff up (Tier PM is back next week!).
Wait, you were looking for a full show review? That could take hours (and the union prevents us from going on that long). There are of course a lot of great write-ups and audio/video discussions and interviews from the show so check those out after listening to this episode to get the full scoop on InfoComm15.

We hope you get a charge out of this one, and for a little added jolt…
