AudioControl Launches First 8-Channel ‘1U’ ‘The Director® M4800’ Matrix-Amplifier at ISE 2016!
Seattle, WA – February 1st, 2016 – The Director® Model M4800 from AudioControl brings to the pro and custom installation channels a new standard of Matrix-Amplifier, a first in the industry. The Director Model M4800 delivers high-power amplification into a 8 x 6 stereo-channel matrix, 4 x pairs of stereo analog inputs with signal present LED’s, 4 stereo digital inputs (both optical and coax for every pair), powering 4 x stereo pairs of amplified outputs with zone status indicators, and an additional 2 x stereo digital coax outputs all engineered into a compact 1U chassis. The Director Model M4800, is the latest member of AudioControl’s new Matrix M-Series builds upon the success of AudioControl’s award-winning ‘The Director’ D-Series.
Driving 8-channels of high-power amplification delivering over 100 watts per channel at 8 ohms, 200 watts per channel at 4 Ohms and 400 watts at 8 ohms bridged, RMS all channels driven. The Director M4800 features on-board digital signal processing, graphic & parametric equalization by zone, network monitoring, & programming plus the addition of zone and global volume control, channel/zone grouping and zone audio presets. It also allows for individual channel and zone selection via standard TCIP, the ability to bridge into low impedances while delivering the ultimate in flexibility combined with the best in audio power and AudioControl’s legendary audio performance.
The AudioControl Director® series can be controlled on-site or remotely through its DCHP/fixed IP control. The Director Model M4800 harnesses the power of AudioControl leading DSP processing including full operational control, system and amplifier configuration, AudioControl’s award-winning audio EQ and audio signal processing capabilities enabling full matrix audio from any analog/digital input to any output across single or multiple amplifiers. The Director Model M4800 also has the benefit of operating either as a standalone matrixamplifier or as part of a 3rd party control system from companies including Crestron, Savant, RTI or Control 4.
The Director Model M6400 is available in brushed stainless steel or black espresso finish and is designed, engineered and manufactured in the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest somewhere North of Seattle! The Director M4800 also comes with AudioControl’s standard 5-year warranty and is available exclusively to the residential custom-install and pro-audio market. AudioControl will be unveiling The Director Model M4800 at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2016 in Amsterdam from February 9th-12th at its booth 1-P92.
