ATOMOS Releases AtomOS 10.73 for Apple ProRes RAW Support on NINJA V and NINJA V+ with New Canon EOS R5 C Camera

ATOMOS AtomOS 10.73ATOMOS released the AtomOS 10.73, which includes Apple ProRes RAW support on the NINJA V and NINJA V+ for the new Canon EOS R5 C camera. With the new firmware, filmmakers will be able to record Apple ProRes RAW at up to 8K at 30fps with the NINJA V+.

The NINJA V+ has been redesigned with a new “stealth grey” bezel and expanded processing power to deliver more options for filmmakers. Powered by the latest ATOMOS Silicon chip and the AtomOS 10 software, the NINJA V+ has been engineered to meet the evolving needs of filmmakers throughout production. In addition to 8K at 30fps, the NINJA V+ provides support for 6K at 50fps and 60fps. The NINJA V and V+ also offer support for 6K up to 30fps and 3K up to 60fps.

The EOS R5 C is the latest model in the Canon Cinema EOS lineup. The camera features a new heat dissipation system to allow for extended takes and prolonged production days, professional timecode input/output connectors and a new standardized multi-accessory shoe first seen on the EOS R3. The built-in LTC input on the EOS R5 C means it is suited for multi-camera productions. It can be used in combination with the ATOMOS UltraSync One wireless sync system to connect and synchronize multiple cameras. The technology is also compatible with the AtomX SYNC module for the NINJA V/V+, which means it can be wirelessly synchronized to a range of devices.

Existing NINJA V and NINJA V+ users can download AtomOS 10.73 here.
