Atlona to Highlight Next-Generation, Energy-Efficient Power Amplifiers at InfoComm 2018

SAN JOSE, California, May 22, 2018 – Atlona will showcase its new Gain™ series of compact, energy-efficient amplifiers in booth C3576 at InfoComm 2018 (June 6-8, Las Vegas Convention Center), where the company will continue celebrating its 15 years of delivering practical AV innovations. Integrating seamlessly into complete AV system designs and available immediately, the Gain 120 (AT-GAIN-120) and Gain 60 (AT-GAIN-60) offer outstanding versatility and an exceptional price/performance ratio for a variety of commercial and residential sound reinforcement applications.

Each model supports both low- and high-impedance operation via an easily-accessible mode selector switch, simplifying ordering and inventory management for systems integrators and designers. The Gain 120 can deliver two channels of 60 watts each at 4 or 8 ohms, or a single 120-watt mono channel at 70 or 100 volts. The Gain 60 can provide two 30-watt channels at 4 or 8 ohms, or one 60-watt channel at 24, 70 or 100 volts. The inclusion of 24-volt support enables the Gain 60 to meet code requirements in particular municipal jurisdictions that have voltage limitations for high-impedance systems.

Both Gain models feature an efficient Class-D amplifier design for low power consumption and are ENERGY STAR® qualified. Convection cooled without the need for fans, the units are ideal for quiet environments and can be installed easily into confined spaces without requiring additional cooling or venting. The ultra-compact Gain 60 is also UL 2043 plenum-rated, allowing convenient yet concealed installation above drop ceilings in commercial locations.

The Gain 120 and Gain 60 can be easily integrated with other Atlona AV solutions including the BYOD-empowering AT-UHD-SW-510W wired/wireless switcher and the new AT-HDR-H2H-88MA 8×8 matrix switcher. The Gain 120 features balanced analog audio inputs, while the Gain 60 allows selection between its balanced or unbalanced inputs via front-panel buttons. As well as amplified speaker output, a line-level audio output on the Gain 120 allows incoming audio to be fed to an additional amplifier or audio system.

The optional AT-GAIN-NET networked audio interface card for the Gain 120 provides compatibility with AES67 or Dante™ audio-over-IP sources, enabling the amplifier to receive dual-channel IP audio from Atlona OmniStream™ AV encoders or third-party audio devices.

Both Gain models feature a rich array of features to enhance integration, operation and control. Ethernet connectivity enables remote TCP/IP control of volume level and other audio adjustments, plus IP-based management through Atlona’s Velocity™ AV control platform.

Front-panel LEDs display power status, real-time volume level and more. Automatic standby with configurable inactivity duration minimizes power consumption, while a remote trigger port on the Gain 120 allows an occupancy sensor or control system to remotely power down the amplifier or wake it from standby. Meanwhile, the newly-introduced AT-RACK-1RU heavy-duty rack shelf enables mounting of the Gain 120 in an equipment rack and is also ideal for side-by-side rack placement of Gain 60 units and many other Atlona products.

“The Gain 120 and Gain 60 provide installers and designers with exceptional flexibility and feature-rich options for amplification in any type of program or distributed audio system,” said Steve Kolta, product manager, Atlona. “With support for both traditional analog audio signals and next-generation networked audio over IP, the Gain series delivers an affordable, high-quality amplification solution for customers’ current and future sound reinforcement needs.”

All members of the Gain series and the AT-RACK-1RU are now shipping. The Gain 120, Gain 60 and AT-GAIN-NET are all backed by Atlona’s award-winning 10-year limited product warranty and customer support services.
