Atlantic Technology Developing IP-Ready Speakers for NetStreams
Atlantic Technology announced the company is working on IP-ready loudspeakers compatible with NetStreams’ StreamNet whole-house IP AV distribution technology. Atlantic says the company is taking advantage of NetStreams’ synchronized digital signal from the source for high-quality sound delivery. NetStreams will be showing these speakers in their booth (930).
Atlantic modified three of its in-wall systems—the IWTS-4 LCR, the IWTS-7 LCR and the IWTS-14 LCR to have a special “A-B” connector switch that allows the speaker to either be connected conventionally via the regular speaker terminals, or, when the switch is thrown into the “NetStreams” position, the speaker connects via the NetStreams Euro-style barrier connector. When connected to the NetStreams system, the speakers are bi-amplified using either NetStreams 2-channel or 4-channel SpeakerLinX room amplifiers, and they use the digital equalization built into the NetStreams system architecture.
These will ship in the fourth quarter and pricing will be announced.
