ATEN Introduces 8K Dual-Display KVMP Switches

ATEN International introduced two new KVMP switches Tuesday, the CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA, expanding its portfolio of desktop control solutions with support for dual-display configurations at up to 8K resolution.
The CS1942DPA is a two-port model, while the CS1944DPA supports up to four computers. Both switches allow users to operate multiple systems through a single keyboard, mouse and dual-monitor setup using DisplayPort connections.
ATEN said the switches support video resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz and are designed for environments where high frame rates and detailed imagery are required, including content creation, engineering, financial analysis and general office use. The products also support ultra-wide display formats, including 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios.
To support shared peripherals, both models include an integrated two-port USB 3.0 hub with data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps. According to ATEN, this allows users to connect devices such as external storage, cameras, printers and scanners and share them across all connected computers without replugging cables.
“In an era where ultra-high-definition content and lightning-fast data throughput are non-negotiable, these new ATEN KVMP switches serve as the definitive asset to elevate your multitasking productivity,” said Nicholas Lin, senior vice president of ATEN International. “By pairing 8K imagery, which is capable of presenting massive amounts of data with absolute clarity, with agile port switching and high-speed connectivity, we are enabling creators and analysts to redefine the limits of their professional output.”
The CS1942DPA and CS1944DPA also support multiple switching methods, including front-panel pushbuttons, keyboard hotkeys, mouse control, RS-232 commands and a remote port selector. ATEN said this flexibility allows users to switch between systems based on their preferred workflow.
For more advanced setups, the switches can be daisy-chained using dedicated ports, allowing two units to be linked together to control up to four computers across a quad-display configuration with a single keyboard and mouse.
ATEN positioned the new KVMP switches as part of its broader lineup of KVM and AV/IT connectivity solutions aimed at improving desktop efficiency in professional and hybrid work environments. Additional product details are available through ATEN and its authorized partners.
