Ansbach, Germany, September 2016. After a very successful market entry in Europe and Asia, Ascendo Immersive Audio (AIA) is now expanding into the North American High-End Home Cinema markets. AIA was established in 2014 as a daughter brand of the High End audio specialist Ascendo from Germany.

Dynamics and speech intelligibility

The specification of the demo is impressive: 24 speakers, 24 kW, fully active and digitally networked. The new immersive cinema formats Dolby Atmos, Auro3D and DTS: X are implemented uncompromisingly in one set up.

Not only is the implementation exceptional, but also the acoustic result. The Ascendo-experts paid special attention to dynamics and speech intelligibility. By DSP-controlled Coax systems, which are powered each with 2x500W Class-D, a virtually unlimited dynamic is reached. The overall system power of the CEDIA demo is an impressive 24 kW.

Latest Network and DSP technology

Plug and Play through Ethernet AVB

The cinema is extremely easy to install, reliable and future proof through the Ethernet AVB networking of the active speakers. Surround processor, Ethernet switch and CAT cables, that’s all what is needed to install the scalable solution. A separate rack or technical compartment is not required anymore. Whether you have a 5.1 or 32 channel setup, the system grows with the needs.
