Artison’s Nano Backpack P5 Represents Dealers’ Wish Lists for Stealthy Surround Processor/Amplifier

phpkxxvy7amDALLAS, TX, September 13, 2016 – Artison, the leader in attachable loudspeakers for flat panel televisions, announced today that its new Nano Backpack P5 will debut at the 2016 CEDIA Expo, and will ship to dealers in December. The P5 is the final version of the surround sound processor/amplifier that the company previewed in 2015, with multiple enhancements added at the recommendation of Artison dealers.

“Last year, we rolled into CEDIA with a Backpack prototype and a call to our dealers to comment on what they like and what should be added,” said Cary Christie, President and Founder, Artison. “Not surprising, they loved the concept and gave us pointers for the final version that will be on display at the booth.

An ultra-compact, super-thin audio hub for the digital age, the Nano Backpack P5 mounts behind a display, on a wall, in a wall, or on a shelf, unleashing powerful 100W/Channel L/C/R; 50W LR/RR output for true audiophile-grade sonics. Measuring a mere 1.1” x 11.5” x 11.7” (H/W/D), Backpack P5 provides the utmost in placement flexibility, with extreme power density when rack-mounting for distribution – up to 50 channels of amplification in 7 RU.

The Backpack P5 is a high-performance processor/amp with sonics that rival models several times its size. Its five internal Class D amplifiers power passive LCR and surround channels using Continuous Sigma Technology for Class A-level performance. Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby ProLogic II/IIx decoding ensure compatibility with the most popular surround formats, and internal 2.4/5.8 GHz antennas provide glitch-free access to Wi-Fi and BT devices.

Designed to accept nearly any currently available source, the Backpack P5’s array of inputs includes HDMI (3), Bluetooth 4.0, Toslink, 3.5mm stereo minijack, and RJ45. The HDMI output (ARC/CED/3D/4K) pass-through makes the Backpack P5 easy to integrate into a single-room system.

Additional Backpack P5 includes a universal high power internal switch mode power supply, intuitive on-screen display and graphical user interface, and an IR remote control. (Also IP-controllable via RJ45/Wi-Fi.)

Added Christie: “The Nano Backpack P5 is just the beginning in a series of Artison products that deliver high-performance audio without overpowering a room’s aesthetics.”

The Artison Nano Backpack WP will ship in December for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $1,199.
