When you hear the term 4K, you probably think resolution. 4K (either 3840×2160 or 4096×2160, depending on whether you’re talking about digital cinema or everything else) is four times the resolution of HD (1080p). But 4K has another value that you may not have realized — 4x the resolution is also 4x the pixel density. In his column today, Gary Kayye talks about how the pixel density of 4K can be really valuable to rooms designed for conferencing and collaboration and could change the way rooms for certain applications are designed.
We also have a contributed column from Panacast on various collaboration and conferencing solutions for university campuses. Finally, we also have news from Extron, Bose, Bittree, Almo Pro AV, Spectrum and others. Enjoy the issue!
